The family Krusell welcomes you to the swedish highlands!
With spectacular mountain panoramas in three cardinal directions, cross country trails just outside the door and wonderful hiking tracks all around, lies Skarvruet’s highland hotel. It is situated in the wild North-West of Sweden, close to the alpine ski area in Tänndalen.
Up here in the secluded highlands of Härjedalen in Jämtland, we welcome our guests to experience truly unforgettable winter and summer vacations filled with the perfect mix of exciting wilderness adventures, wildlife encounters and relaxing wellness moments.
Staying at Skarvruet itself is an adventure.
The rustic “fjäll feeling” resides within every detail of the rooms, the lobby and the restaurant, the conference room and celebration space just as inside the sauna and wellness area and not least on the spacious south facing sun deck.
More than just a hotel
Skarvruet lies at 850 m above sea level, directly at the foot of the Skarvarna mountains. It is situated in between the popular alpine ski resorts of Funäsfjällen and Tänndalen, both being only a few minutes car rides away. The area offers a great variety of winter and summer outdoor activities like skiing, hiking, paddling, fishing and more. But it is also a great place to discover cultural highlights such as the nearby UNESCO protected city of Røros, the Sami and their reindeers as well as the so-called “fäbodliv”, the traditional farming culture of Jämtland.
Skarvruet’s highland hotel welcomes you with its cosy interiors, furnished and decorated with a genuine rustic charm. Our event rooms as well as the Malmbäck Alpine Lodge situated up in the mountains, offer many possibilities for weddings, anniversaries or business conferences within the most inspiring environment.
Our restaurant serves exquisite 3-course dinners featuring regional ingredients and traditional recipes, prepared and served with a passion for details. And the wellness area invites you to relax in the panorama sauna, the finish sauna or to simply have a seat on a deck chair, enjoying the breath-taking views from the veranda…
